Mia Huerta is originally from Santa Barbara
California, she is seventh generation and is from a large local family. Her
mother always had an eye for design and her father was a engineer and an artist.
Mia is a legacy of Marymount school and attended for 10
years. She also went to Santa Barbara High school and city college studying
child psychology.
Mia spent many years team teaching pre-kindergarten at
Marymount school, running their after school program and teaching art during the
summers.
She started selling at the age of 15 and worked and
managed stores in Santa Barbara, while having a lengthy career in modeling. Mia
moved to Arroyo grande in 2000 and fell in love with the Central Coast and
bought her first home. It was then that her creativity for design and her
passion for real estate could be
combined.
Mia is active in the community as an elks member and ICF
member. She was also a Boy Scout leader for many years . Mia loves volunteering
at her sons school. First at Saint
Patrick's in Arroyo Grande - she was a room mother twice and a treasurer for the PTA for three years .
She also enjoyed being the junior high cooking teacher. She was a founding
member of two benefits that are put on
annually and raised money in memory of a local teacher for the school. Her
volunteering now finds her at Mission College prep organizing events where her
son is now attending.
Mia runs a VRBO and loves hosting and holding events at
her home. In her spare time you will find her at her son’s basketball games,
gardening, hiking and wine tasting .
Mia believes the
Central Coast is an ideal place to live. Local events every weekend with a
small-town community feel. Lots of wonderful restaurants with great views and
food. Ocean, mountains and vineyards are always just minutes from each other.
Mia wants everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy this paradise that she
calls home.
